No. Selling expired products is illegal and carries a $1,000 fine.

Essential food basket items like meats, rice, dairy, canned foods, toiletries, and select medications.

No. The Department monitors the prices of food basket items. These items are subject to a maximum markup of 20% on the landed cost of dry goods and 25% on the landed cost of frozen goods. Retailers are required to remain within these approved markup limits.
